Repairs
Yes, we must physically inspect the piece to provide an accurate estimate for a repair. You should plan to leave your item with our jewelers to be repaired for 3 to 4 weeks or depending on our current turn around times. Rush services are offered for an additional fee.
The cost of a repair is based on the item and the type of repair so it varies with every unique piece. Our advice is for you to bring the item to us so we can assess it and provide you with a comprehensive estimate (including labor & materials) while you wait. Our team will walk you through the process of the repair and will not start any work without your approval. We can give you a non-binding ballpark estimate over the phone if absolutely necessary.
Once we have completed your estimate, we will provide an estimate for how long the repair will take and when you can expect to have the item back. Typical turn around time is 3 to 4 weeks. Rush services are offered for an additional fee.

Take off your jewelry before sleeping, swimming, or sweating to ensure your pieces don’t have to work as hard as you do.
Avoid contact with makeup and perfume to keep your jewelry clean.
Tangled or knotted chains can cause stress which might lead to breakage. If you cannot untangle your necklaces, feel free to bring them in for us to fix for you!
Keep your jewelry properly stored in boxes or pouches, especially during travel, to prevent chips, dents, or other damages to your pieces.
Appraisals
Certified appraisals are performed by Stephen Turner, founder of Gemcorp, and a Graduate Gemologist with over 40 years of experience and advanced certifications from leading gemological organizations.
Our appraisal fees are based on the complexity and number of items. We’ll provide a clear estimate before we begin, so there are no surprises.
Certified appraisals are typically completed within two weeks following your scheduled appointment. That allows the necessary time to carefully evaluate your pieces and ensure you receive a thorough, accurate assessment.
A certified appraisal is a formal, written document prepared by a qualified appraiser, providing an official value for your jewelry. Certified appraisals include detailed descriptions, photographs, and meet the standards required for insurance, estate, or legal purposes.
A walk-in evaluation, on the other hand, is an informal assessment offered in-store to give you a general idea of your jewelry’s value. Walk-in evaluations are for informational purposes only, do not include documentation, and are not accepted by insurers or for legal matters. If you need official paperwork or a value assessment for important purposes, we recommend scheduling a certified appraisal.
